Everything is going very well! Me and my mommy made Spritz cookies this afternoon, I finished (again!?) my Christmas shopping (thought I was done yesterday...), and watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory this evening while munching on delicious Chinese food. mmmm. Rice and chicken! Egg rolls and duck sauce! Wonton soup! I didn't work today because we had too few kids and too many counselors. So I feel like today was infinitely longer than any other day. The power went out in Walmart twice while I was there. That was pretty neat. But anyway.
I'm outta here.

My life is incredible! It's just...exhilarating, all the time.

I started my job at the YMCA Kydszone here at home this morning and I went with Red Group - the 5,6,&7 year-olds. We had a blast. I was introduced and the first thing a kid said to me was "HEY! I'm faster than you." I bet him that he couldn't beat me, so we raced. He totally won. We had so much fun. We played Toilet Tag and shout-counted backwards from ten and found lost socks and shirts and went SWIMMING and I got jumped on and swam in a tshirt from middle school and retrieved balls from the woods and wished for nap time.
Doritos, lunchables, Magic Bars, name games, (second graders talking about sex!?), clean language...
My face muscles hurt. I can't stop smiling!

um. grades are out.
I got a B in Shakespeare! DARN YOU, PROCRASTINATOR KATIE! You've thwarted yourself again!

also, it was perhaps not so bad today, even though I fell asleep when the orchestra was practicing. I need sleep. I've lost my energy kick, and I think I know why. EARLY BEDTIMES.

my life is insane.
this morning, i sang sat in the choir loft of a church i'd never been to before and sang music i hadn't seen before; then i ate lunch with a family that wasn't mine but had more fun than i'd have at home.

UP SIDE DOWN (okay, so lunch wasn't on the ceiling, but you get my drift.).

i think it's awesome that you can tell how happy or excited about life i am by how much my clothes don't match.

Last night I dreamed...

1: that we were having staff meeting but it was with Lasonja and choir people and Carlee wore a wedding dress over her clothes and it was so cute and i tried it on but couldn't get it off and somehow ended up topless in front of the choir.

2: that Nick Cummins had a baby and sent everyone Nirvana-style pictures instead of the traditional baby closeup (Nirvana = naked baby in a pool swimming).

3: that we drove,swerving, through a hospital to mcdonalds where they wouldn't let us split the check but they let us pay half cash half credit

that was definitely the most fun i have EVER had being sick :)
