Wishing wells were made to echo a dime,
the consequences are you keep on relying,
you've become a run and hide refugee,
Baby - I'm a cop, stop, put up your hands and surrender to me.
- Gavin deGraw

If you haven't found him - find him. He's a genius, not to mention gorgeous. :)

okay, so wonderful music aside, I made a new binder cover for the back of my folder! YAY! I need to buy a choir binder though. it's driving me crazy having so much stuff in one binder. Plus then I get to make more binder-covers.

Um, so yes, guess what I'm doing! PROCRASTINATING LIKE A MORON.
I have to read 2 chapters for my Animal Behavoir class, 1 chapter for my Drugs class, a critique and 1 Henry IV for my Shakespeare class (yes, that's a critique and a whole play), 1 chapter for my Contemporary Moral Issues class, and some poems for my British and Irish Lit 2 class. That's a heckuva lotta reading I'm not doing and have no intention of reading tomorrow, even though half of it is due Monday. DARN ME FOR BEING A PROCRASTINATOR.
"Procrastination is like masturbation - they're both great until you realize you're just f***ing yourself."

in other news:
DAMN THE LAKESHORE WALMART PHOTO CENTER TO HELL. Their machine for APS is broken, they told me to send it off. First they lost it in the reprints center, and then their damned machine ate my pictures. PRECIOUS MEMORIES, LOST FOREVER. I hate them. I cried on the phone to my dad in the middle of WalMart. If that's not embarrassing, I don't know what is. The only good thing that came out of it was Dad's brainwave that I should get a digital. But I still am old-fashioned in that I like having prints. AND I AM MAD ABOUT THEM RUINING MY FILM!
anyway. I'm going to stop blathering now and talk on the phone! YAY! Proscrastination!

so, i sort of feel like it's time for a serious blog.

Today was nothing short of awesome. The choir music is hard as crap but I can't help but be excited about it because Dr. Copeland knows what he's doing. Mate Saule drove me crazy when we tried to learn it and it's one of the songs I'll never get sick of, because I know how hard it is, and I love it! ...We are definitely the same personality type - we love doing things that seem almost too hard because it's so satisfying to conquer it! Although I'm still offended that he thought I was still a choirbaby. oh well.
My Shakespeare class, too, seems like it's gonna be an exciting challenge. My professor is great, she bounces around topic and keeps it interesting but can still bring it back around to whatever she was supposed to be talking about.
anyway, I'd like to share with all of you my most missed summer memories (in pictures). And you can't make fun of me for these later. Because you're ALL Nicer Than That.

I miss home a lot, for pretty obvious reasons. But also because I don't know how to react to this new situation. I'm ready for a set schedule, a regular pattern of activity, so I don't feel so pressed for time and attention. I need homework, something to keep me focused and my mind straight. I hope some peaceful influence comes soon.

My only other question is: why the HELLLLL is half the choir engaged? I'm okay with it, but, really... holy shit. too many. too much. ugh.

sidenote: Lakeshore Walmart sucks and lost my pictures in TENESSEE. They're hoping they'll be back by the twentieth. AWESOME.

hello world!
i think that possibly the most depressing thing about the desk is all the people that come through signing their friends in and out and here you are, stuck bored and alone at the desk with nothing to do. woo. isn't life Grand? :)

don't get me wrong - i love this job! it makes me sad though, that so many great residents move out every year. there are a lot of cool kids i'm gonna miss this year.

choir tryouts are tuesday! yikes. it makes me so nervous. i haven't sung all summer and i just generally hate singing by myself, especially in front of people - whether i know them or not!
Move In tomorrow should be good, though! Totally hectic and REALLY exciting! but. i'm gonna go now. see you soon!

it's cold as crap in here! training has been hell, but it's all worth it for this job, which i love (or did. we shall see.)
:)
much love
see you all soon!
