happy EASTER!

Wednesday, March 23, 2005

i know, twice in a day, but this is what procrastinating will do to you.

I've just assessed my symptoms, and I've diagnosed myself: I have selective narcolepsy. Put some homework in front of me and I'll fall asleep no matter how much I eat, drink, walk around, listen to music, do jumping jacks, take breaks...
this is a serious order that must be addressed by the nation at large.

also, my exboyfriend updated my livejournal privately for me today. that was WEIRD. I have made a point of not talking to him since December, and yet he still misses me. He's on drugs, or I'm amazing, or maybe both. But still. It made me feel bad for about ten seconds and then I decided that it was sort of creepy, thank you very much.

CHEM TEST TOMORROW! (well thursday. technically tomorrow.)

Demario!

I don't know about the rest of you but I am so proud of our boys! I usually hate sports, but Blazer Basketball is definitely my new favorite hobby. It amazes me that I can watch these guys on the big screen in the Alumni Auditorium on Saturday and then eat in the same BlazerCafe with them on Monday! eek! I can hardly keep from squealing when I see them, they're my new heros. They fought bravely, and Arizona can kiss my patootie.

In other news, there is no other news, because I am boring. My spring break plans went to hell in a handbasket yesterday thanks to Donna's boss, and it looks like i will be hanging out with my self all week. how exciting. I thought that was what school was for. The good news is that I don't have to work all week. But that's about the extent of it.

Right now I'm procrastinating from writing my intro for my ten page research paper on Hamlet. I know that sounds like it sucks but I really think I can do a fairly good job on this! I just don't know if I have that much to say. I'm so concise. ha ha ha. I'm already starting to freak out about finals, and that's definitely not fun. I think it's because I have three tests and this intro due this week. Teachers should DEFINITELY not pile everything up the week before our break! it's CRUEL AND UNUSUAL.
but.
back to work.

well, it's official.
I am Sick.
No, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow morning but regardless of that, I am sick because today I had more than three people tell me that I look UnWell. You can always tell if I'm sick because a) my clothes match, and b) i look more pasty than usual. so isn't THAT exciting.
I think it's an ear infection because my mommy said so but I don't know. Lots of snot, and my ears hurt. So it totally makes sense. not to mention i can't hear, so sorry if i've been singing flat this week.

all that aside, i am a selfcentered moron who likes to screw up other people's lives, which is the other half of why i look like a piece of garbage this week - i'm transparent like glass, it's very easy (or so i've been told) to see how i feel. about anything. if i haven't already voiced it.

AND SO! have a lovely week and wear green tomorrow or i shall pinch you.

Katie (successfully?!) tries her hand at html. (I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS HAPPENED BUT IT'S AWESOME! WAHOO!)

a new background to keep France and singing in mind!

well, even if Dr. Copeland thinks my blog is a total failure, that's okay. I'm sure he'll eventually post something we don't think is funny either ;) (just kidding, just kidding...)

so, sorry if you didn't enjoy the read. I had just never heard of anyone being mauled by any sort of monkey before...unless it was a gorilla, like in Tarzan, which was really scary!!! But then, the jaguar and dumb guy with a gun ("Clayton!") were scarier.
Hm, Clayton. Nope. Guess you really can't classify people by their names, because our Clay would never do that. But he goes by Clay, which is different, so maybe you can.

That's my thing, you know. I've spent my whole life trying to decide what to name my kids (which at this point I may never had which I never used to take into consideration) because I noticed a trend in people's attitudes that is linked with their names. And I don't mean their name meanings, although those are a lot of fun to know anyway. All the Katies I know are pretty strange in some way or another, and Michaels always seem to have this air of condescension. But those are just some hasty generalizations, I suppose. I won't list more because I don't want to offend anybody. I realize that I tend to be hyper-critical and maybe too honest.

I'm really excited about the opera this weekend! It's so much fun to go watch a production when you know everybody in it. I'm still trying to get my mom to come though, so I'm not sure when I'm going.
